I consider the single most effective FIRST step of healing and happiness (that means the one step that will make the biggest difference) is becoming AWARE of what goes on in our head and noticing how it impacts our body.
Most of that automatic self-talk forms the background of our daily “stress” which science has now proven to suppress our innate relaxation and healing response. Top that to the stressors from our diet and environment, no wonder most of us do not experience ourselves as our true great selves.
Everything else one chooses to “do” from this awareness will then work much better for them. And in fact if what you choose to “do” helps you switch off stress and switch on the relaxation response, your body will take care of the healing.
As Hippocrates put it…
“Doing nothing is sometimes a good remedy.”
